At Askrigg Ropemakers, our handcrafted skipping ropes are a blend of tradition and functionality. Measuring 12 feet in length, each rope is adjustable via its unique wooden handles, which are crafted from pirns—antique rods originally used in weaving shuttles. Sourced from West Yorkshire weaving mills, these pirns not only serve as durable handles but also add a touch of heritage to each rope, and we think are an antique of the future!

Designed for both exercise and play, our skipping ropes are built to withstand regular use. The multicoloured cords are crafted with precision, ensuring a comfortable grip and smooth motion. Each rope is handcrafted with passion in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, using traditional techniques.​
