We are excited to announce that we have been featureed on an episode of Countryfile!

"John Craven is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to tell the story of Yorkshire’s rural communities."

John visited Akrigg Ropemakers in June 2025 and explored traditional Ropemaking skills and techniques. The episode was aired in August 2025

Askrigg Ropemakers have recently been featured in The Dalesman magazine! The article was published in July 2025.

A Visit from the Prime Minisiter

In October 2023, then PM Rishi Sunak visited Askrigg Ropemakers, to meet Caroline and others close to the business. He even tried to make a length of rope on the Rope Walk!

Dan & Helen's Pennine Adventures

In the Channel 5 series Dan and Helen’s Pennine Adventure, TV presenters Dan Walker and Helen Skelton embarked on a journey along the Pennine Way, Britain’s first long-distance trail. During their travels, they visited Askrigg Ropemakers, where Helen met Caroline.
